Title: Win7+XP running, want to add Linux
Post by: JeeGee on December 22, 2013, 22:31:29 PM
Hi,

Took me some time, but now I am running Win7 with the option to boot XP too. But I have 2 questions:

1. I have some unallocated space left, which I want to use as shared space and for installing Linux (my second question). But I noticed, when I create a partition in Win7, after booting this partition is gone. How can I create a new partition and let it be available after a reboot?

FYI: I installed win7 without a seconds partition for XP. Then removed plop, create partition in win7. installed plop again, then the new partition was visible.

2. Besides the shared partition, I want to add a new third OS (Fedora). What are the steps to add a third OS? I guess in the end I have to install the (grub) bootloader NOT in the mbr but on the disc that holds the linux OS.
But I am not sure how to add a third OS like Linux, as that one also creates partitions by itself during installation.

Thanks.
