Hi, Elmar
Main menu hotkeys and countdown=off are not supported in hidden mode.
I tried to configure plpbt.bin using plpcfgbtGUI
It would be useful and is convenient if these functions worked in the hidden mode.
Can you add these options, please?
a countdown is required in hidden mode because without countdown it would never boot and you would only see a blinking cursor.
I thought that the difference between Menu mode and Hidden mode consists only in absence of display of process on the screen. :D
And what about hotkeys?
For example, 1...16, u, c ?

no, hidden means
bios
|
boot manager invisible
|
start countdown and
wait for ESC key
/ \
countdown = 0 ESC key
| |
continue boot menu became visible

Yes, I read it in "readme":
Quote For the hidden mode, you have to set the boot countdown and you have to select a default profile. The default profile boots after the countdown. The user cannot see that there is a boot manager in the background. If you want to go into the boot manager, then press ESC.
But this is ... "pseudo hidden" ;) mode
and my idea is "cleared" mode! ;)
As this:
1. ("half cleared" mode)
Quote bios
|
boot manager invisible
|
start countdown and
wait for ESC key
/ \
countdown = 0 ESC key
| |
continue boot countdown=off, but menu stay invisible
default profile X |
hotkey "u", "c", "f" OR other, menu stay invisible
|
boot selected entry
OR
2. ("full cleared" mode)
Quote bios
|
boot manager invisible
|
start countdown and
ignore ESC, Ctrl, Alt keys
/ \
countdown = 0 countdown > 0
| |
continue boot ENTER or hotkey "u", "c", "f" OR other, menu stay invisible
default profile X |
boot selected entry
This way we get "The "nonadvanced" user will not really see that there is a boot manager in the background." :D

and i get the mails "uuaaaa the pc is frozen, i see only a blinking cursor, whats wrong????" and so on. and in real, the boot manager is only waiting for a hotkey

No!
You will not receive mails, so that this "full cleared" version of the Plop boot manager we will install and configure coutdown<3sec for only "nonadvanced" users who do not know how to send mails and do not know anything about the existence plpbt.bin in this "... a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World"... :D
reassuming..
Elmar,
please, add to Plop boot manager the third mode! :)
1. Menu mode.
2. Hidden mode.
3. Cleared mode.Like this:
