Title: how to install plop from command line
Post by: LKLSR on August 02, 2013, 01:53:54 AM
Hi all guys,
I've some troubles with my pc and I really need some help, here's the deal:
my lubuntu is in some ways broken after the first installation, it doesn't load and the only thing I can do is use the command line (graphic mode doesn't work and can't find a way to fix it), moreover  my  pc has a bios that does not allow the boot from usb and has a broken dvd player, therefore I need plop boot manager in order to boot from usb to install a new os....but I can't find a way to do it from command line, any ways to install plop boot manager?

thanks

hi elmar, thanks for the help.

i've run: " wget http://download.plop.at/files/bootmngr/plpbt-5.0.14.zip " but it said " resolution of dowload.plop.at (download.plop.at)... failed: name or service uknown. wget: impossible to solve the address of host "download.plop.at" "

i've also tried to plug in an usb with the file downloaded from another pc but i'm not able to go to that directory from command line...seems strange, maybe i'm messing up something.
