Hello,
I'm trying to boot Linux from a USB Flash Drive, while my BIOS supports only USB Floppy and IDE CD (no DVD) Booting.
Plop (5.0.13) starts fine from both CD or USB Floppy, but it will freeze no matter what I try to boot, even my local HDD partitions:
...
checking boot sector
found valid boot signature
->freeze (Windows NTFS and FreeBSD Partitions on IDE Disk)
Booting from USB:
...
port 3: device connected
mass
storage device
loading boot sector...
->freeze
from CD (i.e. plop re-boot itself):
...
wating for the drive...
loading boot sector...
->freeze
Is there anything more I could try, some debug output etc.?
It's a Gericom/Uniwill N251S5 laptop with AMIBIOS EC591, Version 1.06GM (from ~2003, latest available from Gericom... ::))
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Sebastian
