Title: USB Hubs
Post by: kaarsten on February 01, 2011, 20:48:38 PM
I've read that support for hubs was a matter of code size, but I don't see why it's not possible to offer a larger binary with hub support for people who chainload plpbt from GRUB or NTLDR -- something with pre-built-in filesystem support. Isn't it possible to offer a heavier version for chainloading use and a lighter one (without hub support) for BIOS Option ROMs and other places where size is critical?

i don't want to talk again about all that stuff. 5.0.x will never have usb hub support.

maybe in 2 weeks i start to program the plop boot manager 5.1.0. but its "may be" and is no fix date. 5.1.0 will be written from scratch without many limitations of 5.0.x but the small size will not be possible.
