Title: USB Boot On Thinkpad Lenovo
Post by: Nish on January 09, 2013, 21:46:20 PM
Is it possible to use plop in order to boot to a USB without access to the bios or administrative privileges? It's impossible for me to access the bios due to a password. I don't have any experience with linux or setting up servers but I'm very willing to learn!

when you have no access to the bios and its not possible to boot from an external boot device and you have no admin rights on the installed os, then there is only one way left. you have to remove the hard disk and put it in a pc where you have enough privilege rights. then you are able to install the boot manager.

Thank you so much Elmar! I can't believe I didn't think about that myself, problem solved!
