Hi
I'm trying to install windows 7 next to my existing windows XP. The reason I need an extra boot manager is obviously to hide the windows 7 partition when booting xp.
My experiments are based on the "15. Dualboot Windows XP and Windows 7" part of the bootmanager documentation:
- start situation: partition HDA1 with windows XP (which I can't wipe), partition HDA2 (empty partition created in windows XP disk manager)
- installed the boot manager
- created two profiles:
1) windows xp - linked partitions for HDA is HDA1 (boot flag), others cleared
2) windows 7 - linked partitions for HDA is HDA2 (boot flag), others cleared
- windows xp works fine (the second partition is not visible)
- booting the "windows 7" profile gives me the error : "NTLDR is missing. Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE to reboot". I don't get the option to "press "n" to abort" as described in the documentation. And, obviously when I reboot with the windows 7 installation dvd, I see both partitions.
So, any I what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
And... big thanks for sharing this wonderful software!
