Title: Booting Windows (UEFI) on mSATA SSD (not allowed from BIOS)
Post by: matteo89 on June 13, 2018, 21:18:55 PM
Hi, i'm new in this forum and i'm here for a specific problem, hoping someone can solve it.
Thanks to plop (installed on the 2nd hard disk connected with SATA interface) for many years i have booted Windows (not in UEFI mode) from an SSD msata in my HP Envy notebook (i did use Plop because boot from mSATA slot is not allowed by BIOS  :-\ )
Some days ago the SSD in the mSATA slot stopped working so i have so i have replaced it and i have installed Windows again but this time in UEFI mode, i think is this the reason of this message and missing boot:

In the meanwhile i use the bootmenu of my notebook to reach up this file and boot Windows from mSATA SSD:

Any tips?

Hello,

the problem is that the Plop Boot Manager is not able to work with UEFI.

Best regards

What i can do to boot Windows in my situation?
Isn't available a complementary software which can reach up bootx64.efi?

You have to configure your Bios to boot with UEFI.

As i said BIOS doesn't officially permit boot from mSATA slot
