I would like an option to return (same as pressing ESC) on timeout.
one sentence is not very much info. i assume you mean for the option rom, or? there is the hotkey option http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html#plpcfgbt but i think it will not work when you use the other option rom loader

I want the boot manager to always pop up, but exit after a timeout if no key is pressed. It should work from CD or ROM.
