I have an ancient pc that have one usb port, I installed plot in c:/ following this process:
I configured Boot.ini for not overwrite MBR putting in the last "c:\plpbtldr.bin="PLoP Boot Manager" ". I moved plpbt.bin and plpgenbtldr.com to C:
I opened a shell and executed plpgenbtldr.com from C:\. When plop boot a pendrive with xubuntu that go in other pc, it's showed a lines of text where it says: ISOLINUX.... and not advance.
If I force the port to USB 1.1 in the options the program remember me that i can't save changes, what can I do_?
Thanks!
Although the message says it cannot save the changes, it does use USB1.1 mode during that session.
In the following order what does not work?
1 Boot the plop USB bootloader from the Windows Boot menu.
2a During the plopbootloader menu select USB and choose boot.
2b Does plop find a USB-boot device in the laptop.
2c Does it load the possible SYSlinux bootloader from the USB-device "press enter may help if it hangs"
2d Does the USB-stick boots on a other newer PC, without the hang at SYSLINUX?
I installed perfectly now the program with the exeutable of the folder "install" but not boot an I select the option force usb 1.1 and this change is saved.
