Laptop Dell 7500. Windows Millennium. BIOS does not support USB booting.
FDD and CD-Rom not working. Need to install Windows Xp from usb flash.
I try to install Plop Boot Manager:
1)   Download plpgenbtldr-0.8.zip
2)   Copied plpgenbtldr.exe and PLBT.BIN in C:\
3)   Run plpgenbtldr. Could not find NtFsControlFile entry point in NTDLL.DLL

Sorry for my bad English :)

Elmar

plpgenbtldr is for NT systems. it does not work with 98 and similar.

download plpbt-anyversion.zip
exctract it
copy the file install\plpinst.com to c:\
reboot the pc
press F8  multiple times during bootup
you should get a menu with a few options like safe mode, command prompt and so on
use "command prompt"
WINDOWS MUST NOT BOOT!
now you should see c:\
if you see a sub directory then run "cd \"
run "plpinst"
now you see the plop boot manager installer
choose option 1

on dell laptops, the usb boot often does not work. maybe 5.0.10 works better than 5.0.11

I have the same problem with a Compaq Armada E500 and Windows Millennium.
Where can I download plpbt-anyversion.zip?

Elmar

"plpbt-anyversion.zip" means only "any version" of the boot manager

My Compaq Armada doesn't have command prompt  :o
