I have old Pentium 166 PC and CD-Rom with interface mke-panasonic connected to sound blaster IDE slot. When I boot from fdd  disk plop boot manager and then try to boot from CD I get this message "No CD-Rom found". This promblem is CD-Rom mke-panasonic interface or something other?

Elmar

are there any jumpers to configure the ide port on the sound card?

So the SB card is connected via ISA bus and the IDE port has no standard address!
Must be a 2x CD ROM drive...  I'll bet you can't boot from this one at all...

Usually there are, but they dont access the standard IDE port addresses since these
cards were meant as an additional port.

I'd suggest to exchange the old CD ROM drive to a slightly newer one connected to one
of the standard IDE port addresses.  Or add two IDE ports via an extension card.

There is not any jumpers for ide port to configure...
.....that's right, 2x CD ROM drive panasonic interface,
so will change CD-drive on IDE CD-ROM
