Hi there,
currently I use Plop Boot Manager (plpbt) to USB boot a PC, not supported by BIOS.
It boots from CD-ROM with plpbt, then transfers control to USB and continues to boot OS. Perfect.

I'd like to replace CD-ROM with HDD. Would it be possible to boot from MBR on the first IDE HDD, then transfer control to USB and continue to boot?

It seems strange at first, but I cannot install operating system on HDD. I have deployed FreeNAS and it does not allow to use disk for OS installation and storage at the same time. If I boot the PC from USB then FreeNAS would see the first IDE HDD as free.
Is this doable and how?
I tried to boot from CD-ROM with plpbt ISO image, but was confused by configuration.

Thanks in advance!
