Plop boot manager won't load files on my USB

Hi there,

I'm using an old IBM PC (Windows XP), so I installed Plop boot manager to access the USB to boot Windows 10. I have just used the USB to boot up another old laptop of mine using Windows 7, without needing to go through Plop boot Manager - so I know the USB is bootable and working.

Whenever I click on USB in Plop boot manager, it just comes up loading files, then the PC restarts all over again, any ideas? I've also tried the force USB 1.1 in boot manager setup but it says error using Mode 1 & Mode 2.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks,
Lee

maybe it's a win10 problem - it can't work on your old PC

I'll maybe try to upgrade it to Win7 first then on to 10. Shouldn't matter though I wouldn't think, I'm nearly sure I've seen a guy put Win10 on a Win98 PC.

check your PC for sse2 support - if there is no such support, you will not be able to install os newer than win7... even win7 with updates in 2018 and later will not work, only earlier versions of win7 will work
