Chainloading the Dev Version

Hello, first thanks for the very good looking GNU/Linux distro.. Enjoying it..
I use it as a host sys for building a custom linuxfromscratch os..

Currently i boot it through g4d from a ufd. Chainloading the .iso itself (for nice menu)
and there are the same extracted iso files on the partition. Plus opt sqfs.

Right now i need dev tools and stuff. Would it be possible to add
the dev ver in this config just copying them into the dir?
The way it's been done with optional opt?

Do i need to repack everything in that tar.gz fs in sqfs myself?

Btw, has the ppp mod been really disabled in the kernel?
Can't get the pppoe connection working,
there's no ppp config or something..
