Bootloader installation does not complete

Hi,
I want to thank you for this great appz.
I have too old laptop and can't use its CD driver and can't boot from the usb drive.
I use XP service pack 3 on it. When I start InstallToBootMenu.bat from the plpbt-5.0.14

it gives this error:
Creating boot menu entry
Access denied - C:\boot.ini
Error: unable to write to boot.ini



How can I solve this problem or What is the bootloader program want to add to boot.ini. I can add for it.

Hi Elmar,
please help I have no another alternative to ınstall xp again.
My laptop (ASUS A2H (1994)) too old. Bios doesn't support usb booting. Cd drive out of order.
What is the menu entry to boot.ini. Can I write it manually.

remove the write protected flag of the boot.ini

cant u just boot with another Programm fpr the computer? like Mac or linux

What ist USB Booting? And where is the difference to normal booting?
