LILO end of support
« on: June 19, 2016, 00:47:49 AM »
Re: ploplinux-desktop-4.3.1-i486.tar.gz
Hi,
I moved all files to root of linux partition.
Q1: Does ploplinux-desktop use other linux loaders other than lilo, to make ploplinux bootable on a thumb drive?
 . . . lilo appears old school
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LILO_%28boot_loader%29

Q2: What's meant by 'lilo -R /mnt'?
 . . . assume 'lilo -R /dev/stickname'
thx

You don't have to use LILO. Plop Linux has also Grub, Grub 2 and Syslinux installed.

In the Plop Linux documentation is it a small 'r'. 'lilo -r /mnt' makes a chroot and installs LILO.
