Hi There.
Hope you can assist.
I have an older Toshiba Notebook L500D.
I am wanting to install Cloudready on the hard drive replacing Windows 7. This installation needs to be done from USB stick, due to the size of the media (8Gb).
The BIOS does not give an option to boot from the USB port. It only has options to boot from Hard drive, CD, Network.
I Installed PLPBT-5.0.15 to a CD and it boots fine, but again the USB option is not available, I can see the hot keys, I tried Alt U, but no luck. It only has options to install PLBT to the hard drive.
I dont have a floppy drive.

I am hoping someone can assist.
Thanks in advance

Elmar

Hello,

you burned the wrong ISO to the CD. You burned the ISO from the install directory. But you have to use the plpbt.iso from the parent directory.

You can also try PBM6.

Best regards
Elmar

Hi Elmar
Thanks for the quick response.
I have burnt a CD with plpbt.iso in the parent directory

I have put the Cloudready USB stick in the USB port.
When I boot up, and select USB from the Menu..

I get the following screen:=

LOADING EHC1 driver
SEARCHING ON HOSTS
HOST  1
PORT 1: DEVICE CONNECTED

and it hangs from there

I will also try PBM6

Thanks Again really appreciate your help.
Cheers

Hi Elmar,
I have just tried PBM6, and it only locates
The Hard Drive and the CD-Rom...  Not the USB Stick..

DRIVE 1   <HD, BIOS>   >
DRIVE 2   <CD>, SATA>  >

Thats it...
Hope you help.

Thanks again

Cheers
