Hi instructions say:
Warning Linux users: Install LILO or GRUB to the boot sector of your
Linux instead of the Master Boot Record (MBR). The PLoP Boot Manager is
not a Linux loader and cannot start Linux without LILO, GRUB, Syslinux
   and similar!

My PC currently runs WinXP and when I run LiveCD of any Linux then decide to install does it by default write Grub information to the boot partition MBR?
HD configuration is Winxp boot partition,Ghost partition, proposed Linux is EXT3 part and Swap part. EG 4 partitions in all.
Thanks for any advice.
Alistair.
PS great assembler programming - finally can do a USB boot using the Winxp installation method. Also, for others not sure, place the loader info as THE LAST LINE of boot.ini to allow your Windows to take over just in case something is amiss.

hi,
you should be able to set the destination of grub with "advanced settings" for grub in the install program.

however, you can install grub to the boot sector after the linux install has been finished and then install plop again, or run plop from grub when you need only usb boot.
