i am using the latest version of Plop boot manager.
i burned the .iso to a cd.
i have a multiboot usb drive i chose to boot from via plop.
when it boots into my USB drive - my keyboard stops working.
its a USB keyboard.

if i boot to my USB stick on a motherboard that supports usb booting - everything works.

seems the problem exists when i use Plop to boot my USB stick.

any thoughts?

Btw, my usb stick was made with sardu 1.0.7.3e

hello,
just a bit of FYI - i am really wanting to incorporate this tool into my IT Department.
we Deal with hundreds of different computers a week.
sooooo.....is there a workaround?
this would be a really great tool if it supported something so neccessary as a USB keyboard.
it really limits the use for this piece of software.

is there just a technical reason why usb keyboards are not supported?
i dont know about you, but the ONLY reason why im using Plop boot manager - is to boot from a usb key.

just so we are crystal clear on what my issue is...

i can boot into Plop boot manager and everything works 100% inside the interface for Plop (my usb keyboard works perfectly)
if i use plop boot manager to boot a USB key - my keyboard stops working once i get to the interface of my usb key.
now, if  i boot directly to my USB key WITHOUT Plop, everything works fine.

basically, my keyboard stops working when i reach the interface of my usb key after booting with plop.

1. i boot into plop boot manager with cd (everything works perfectly)

2. i select my USB key to boot into

3. once i reach my usb key interface - i lose functionality to my keyboard.

i like the simplicity of this tool, but would really like to find a work-around or a mod...or something.

what type of computers is this tool supposed to be used on?
Really old computers with ps2 mice and keyboards only?

maybe ive made a mistake in thinking this tool is the "end-all-be-all" boot manager for computers.

yes, i have less than 32KB available to put all boot manager parts into one program. so less than 32KB for the boot manager stuff and many features, the user interface, 3 usb mass storage drivers (uhci, ohci and ehci), one ide cdrom driver and a space to save settings and so on. there is simply no space left for an usb keyboard driver.

set a timeout to boot windows or linux

when i write the boot manager 5.1.x then an usb keyboard driver will be implemented.
