How can you *exactly* run bootmanager from floppy without installing?

Hi all  :)

Usual story: I'm trying to boot from a USB on an old laptop that doesn't support USB boot. I've successfully burned the appropriate image on a floppy, the computer boots from it, and it takes me to the Install program menu (some options are ghosted). According to the instructions, in order to run from floppy without installing on the hard drive, one should modify the plpbt.bin with the plpcfgbt.

The thing is, I'm not sure exactly how. I mean, which command does that??? I tried the hidden usb, without success. Whatever I do, it gives me back the Install program menu, as shown here:
http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html#installhd

Any help available?  :D

you are using the wrong floppy image file. you have to use plpbt.img and not plpbtin.img
