Problem booting plop through grub

Hello there,

I'm trying to use plop through grub on a pretty old laptop (Intel Celeron). So I followed the instructions and setup plop in grub. When I tried to boot it, it gave an error code "E17" and says that the partition is invalid or something.

What could cause such an error?
