Install Plop to MBR of USB HDD?

I would like to create a multi-partition multi-boot USB drive with Plop as the boot manager.
The assumption is that this drive will be booted with BIOS support, so that Plop will only provide the menu to select which partition to boot.
In order to maintain changes as things are added, I am led to believe that Plop must be installed to the MBR of the boot device (i.e. the USB HDD).
I cannot find a way to do that! All of the "install to MBR" options seem to require an installer that loads from a cold boot; i.e. before the OS loads, making the USB HDD visible.
Am I missing something? Thanks!

It's not too hard to do.

The method I'd use is to take advantage of GRUB or SYSLINUX.

Not only do they provide you with another fallback versatile boot manager, it will also make loading plop a breeze.

Thanks. I'll look into that ... also discovered that BootICE will write it to the MBR from within Windows.
