Install both windows xp and ubuntu

Hello.

I'm am currently in high school co-op with the school IT admin.

I would like to know if I can have both xp and ubuntu available using plop 5.0.2
I have 3 available hard drives.

I want xp on the Primary master, ubuntu on the Primary Slave, and possibly later have some kind of dos on the secondary slave.

Can this be done?
and how would I go about doing this?

note: I think grub may be interfering with plop but I'm not sure.

hi,
yes it can be done, but when you install ubuntu, then grub can do the job to boot all systems.

if you use the plop boot manager as primary boot manager and grub to boot linux, then you have to install grub to the linux partition and not to the mbr.

As of now xp seems to be gone after installing ubuntu on my primary slave hard disk.
xp was on my primary master but not any more.

I guess I can start from scratch now.

In what order would I install these things.
Windows XP Image using symantecs ghost program
Ubuntu using a bootable cd (with grub already on it)
Plop 5.0.2

Also how can I make it so grub and ubuntu get installed only on the primary slave and not on the master.

If any of this doesn't make sense please ask for clarification

what do you mean with primary slave?
i don't use ubuntu, but i think you can tell the installer at the end of installation where to place grub. its an advanced option.

Ok if I were to use the latest version of plop, what order would I install these things?

if you know what you are doing, then it does not matter.

if you are a beginner, then xp, ubuntu, plop

I am a beginner. I'm in high school co-op and am somewhat new to most of these things.
