I tried to install a lightweight linux distribution to an old laptop ,I think its hp presario 2100 with pentium 4 and 512mb of ram.Well of course it doesn't boot from usb or some dvd types so I burned a cd with plop boot manager in order to boot from usb.Well, laptop booted from cd and loaded the plop boot manager ,but when i'm going to select usb ,just freezes and I am able only to restart from the power button. On another old laptop I tested just booted fine. The laptop has got a floppy drive but i did not have any available that time. How can I solve this problem?
unfortunately, I don't know why this happens when it happens. Over years, I heard about this problem about five times. Currently, there is no solution. I am sure that the new boot manager will not have this problem, because of the different kernel. But it has to be tested, when I release a test program.
As alternative use PlopKexec. This tool will work fine.
